Building Myself While Raising a Child: Growth, Healing, and Motherhood in Real Life

Building yourself while raising a child is one of the most challenging and meaningful journeys a woman can experience. It is a season where personal growth and motherhood happen at the same time — often without balance, without rest, and without clear answers. You are learning who you are while teaching someone else how to live. You are healing from old wounds while creating a safe space for your child. You are chasing purpose while managing daily responsibilities that never pause. Some days, growth feels empowering. Other days, it feels overwhelming. Many mothers silently navigate this stage of life — trying to become better, stronger, and more intentional, while showing up fully for their child. You are learning patience in moments of exhaustion. You are discovering strength in routines that feel ordinary but are anything but small. Personal growth during motherhood looks different. It is quieter. It is slower. And it requires grace. There are moments of doubt — wondering...

Why This Season of Life Feels Heavy—but Is Shaping You

There is a season of life that arrives without warning — a season where growth feels uncomfortable, healing feels slow, and motherhood changes the way you see yourself. It doesn’t come with instructions. It doesn’t wait for readiness. It simply begins. In this stage, many young women and mothers are learning how to balance dreams with daily responsibilities. One moment you feel hopeful and strong; the next, you feel tired, overwhelmed, and unsure. You are raising a child while trying not to lose yourself. You are healing from old wounds while stepping into new roles. This is the reality of personal growth in adulthood. Growth often happens quietly. Healing takes time and patience. And motherhood reshapes your priorities, your strength, and your faith. There are emotions no one talks about — the exhaustion, the guilt, the fear of not doing enough, and the pressure to appear strong. Yet, even in moments of doubt, you keep showing up. You keep loving. You keep trying. That is progress...

Nobody Warned Us About This Stage of Life: Growth, Healing, and Motherhood

Nobody really warned us about this stage of life — the season where you are trying to grow, heal, and succeed, while also learning how to show up as a woman and a mother. This phase of life comes quietly. It doesn’t announce itself. It slowly unfolds through responsibilities, expectations, and unanswered questions. Many young women and mothers find themselves here — feeling strong one day and exhausted the next. You’re chasing purpose while healing from past pain. You’re learning patience while raising a child. You’re becoming someone new while letting go of who you used to be. Growth in adulthood is not always visible. Healing is not always linear. And motherhood changes everything. There are silent struggles no one prepares you for — emotional burnout, self-doubt, fear of not doing enough, and the pressure to “have it all together.” Yet, despite these challenges, you continue to move forward. That matters. This season may not look like success on the outside, but internally, it is sh...

Some Nigerian meals you should avoid eating before going to bed

As good and essential as food is, I think it's a little unfair to not be allowed to take what we want at the time we want it, right? But then it's only wise to take what's healthy, beneficial and useful for us, isn't it? Of course, it is. Having said all of that, it's important for us to know the right kind of food to feed on at every single time of the day. Hence, the need for this list. Although these foods are not bad in themselves and contrary to people's belief, eating late at night doesn't necessarily make you gain some more weight just because it's late, but because the calorie content in these meals is actually what leads to the extra kilos. So, you want to avoid taking them at an inappropriate time. .  Chocolate and other sugary foods Chocolate isn't a filling snack, so if you’re craving it, you may not necessarily be hungry. Rather, your sweet tooth just beckoning on you. Sugary foods have the same effect as the energy-giving ...
