English Premier League club, Liverpool FC has signed a new contract with its long time academy player, James Norris.
The UEFA Championship winners disclosed on its official website on Tuesday, June 2 that the England born defender has penned his first signature as a professional player with the club.
Naija News understands that the 17-year-old player who plays as a left-back started his career with the Reds Under-9 level until his recent progress to join the England youth international.
Norris had played a few matches with the Liverpool’s U18s team, including a clash with Aston Villa in December 2019, coming off from the bench to make his first U23 appearance with the club in the Carabao Cup quarter-final.
The West Derby-born player turned out regularly for the club’s U19 UEFA Youth League team, while his attacking instincts also saw him employed further up the pitch in some matches.
